Last night, Ukrainian defense forces carried out another large-scale drone attack on the territory of the so-called Russian Federation. Key targets included critical energy infrastructure—the Kstovo oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region and the power plant that supplies it. Damage was confirmed by local occupation authorities.
The Kstovo refinery is one of Russia's largest, processing about 17 million tons of oil per year and supplying fuel to the Central Federal District and Moscow. Its disruption is a significant blow to Russia's energy market. The Primorsk port in the Leningrad region was also struck.
Against this backdrop, unrest is growing inside Russia. Economic decline, widespread restrictions, censorship, and increasing protest sentiments have led to open criticism from opposition figures, some state media, and even parliament members towards Putin's policies.
The war is entering a stage where attacks on Russia's export energy infrastructure are deepening its domestic political crisis. Analysts note that Russia might be approaching major changes if drone attacks persist and Ukraine pursues needed reforms.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to implement military innovations, deploying long-range interceptor drones operating up to 500 km. Ongoing public support supplies defense forces with new FPV drones to strengthen the front.
